Account Executive, Public Sector

About TenderStria

TenderStria is building the AI that reads public-sector tenders so teams don't have to. Every working day, governments across 50+ countries publish thousands of contract notices, far more than any bid team can read. We ingest them all, translate and normalise them, and score each one for fit against a company's services, sectors and bid criteria, so teams open only the contracts genuinely worth pursuing. We're an early, deliberately small team building toward our first customers, with a product that already works.

About the role

You'll own the conversation with the teams who live and breathe public tenders: bid managers, business-development leads, and the SMEs trying to win government work. Your edge is our sandbox, you can show a prospect TenderStria scoring their own live tenders in minutes, then carry the deal from that moment to a signature.

This is an early sales seat. You'll run the full cycle yourself, refine the pitch with every call, and feed the patterns you see straight back into product and go-to-market. You're not inheriting a quota machine, you're helping build one.

What you’ll do

  • ·Run the full sales cycle: qualify, demo, handle objections, and close
  • ·Show prospects the sandbox scoring their own live tenders, the moment that sells the product
  • ·Build relationships with public-sector bid and procurement teams
  • ·Keep a clean pipeline and forecast honestly
  • ·Feed objections, pricing friction and feature gaps back to product and GTM
  • ·Help shape the sales playbook as we learn what works

What we look for

  • ·5+ years in B2B sales, ideally SaaS or selling to public sector / procurement
  • ·Consultative, not pushy: you sell by understanding the buyer's job
  • ·Comfortable owning a number and a pipeline with little supervision
  • ·Resilient and organised, with strong written and verbal communication
  • ·Genuine interest in how public-sector teams find and win work

Bonus points

  • ·An existing network in UK public-sector bidding or procurement
  • ·Experience selling an early-stage or category-defining product
  • ·Familiarity with tools like TED, Find a Tender or Contracts Finder
